His training includes studies at the Orff Institute (Salzburg), New England Conservatory, Memphis State, Hofstra University, Hamline University and the University of Michigan. His publications include numerous collections of materials for the elementary general classroom. A sought after Orff pedagogue, Dr. Amchin has taught Orff teacher training courses, master classes and workshops at local, state and national events throughout the world. |

This session will explore active lessons based on the Orff Schulwerk process. Each lesson will include PowerPoint visuals that can aid in better student understanding. Lessons will be presented that offer efficient ways to include speech, singing, movement, instruments, & improvisation into our elementary music classrooms!

Lisa Sullivan has taught music at Mohawk Trails Elementary for 27 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Butler University and Master’s degree in Elementary Administration from Ball State University. Mrs. Sullivan currently serves as a Region Representative for the American Orff Schulwerk Association. She is trained as an Orff Schulwerk Specialist and teaches the Orff certification classes at Anderson University and DePaul University during the summer.

This includes pitch matching games, movement, improvisation, Orff accompaniment, recorder, drama, and more for early childhood and elementary. Don’t miss this exciting full-day workshop. _____________________________________________________________ Lynn Kleiner is an internationally recognized leader in music education and has been teaching since 1978. She is the founder and director of Music Rhapsody, a music school teaching thousands of children, infants through teens. Awarded the prestigious Oppenheim Award, Lynn’s instrument and DVD kits for children have also received the Dove Award and are recommended by the National Parenting Association. Lynn has several books and CD’s, which have won the Creative Child Award, and her own line of percussion instruments through REMO. She is a popular and frequent presenter around the world. |
