Be sure to visit the poster exhibit on The Ames Library&#8217;s entry level, too!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Archives contain primary sources such as letters, photographs, and audio and video footage that document the work of early suffragists such as Carrie Chapman Catt, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Minnie Fisher Cunningham, Angelina Weld Grimke, and Ida B. Wells-Barnett. In making these materials available, archivists hope to remind the public of the long history of the battle for the right to vote and the suffragists&#8217; roles in the fight for equality.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few archives and history organizations that are remembering the suffrage centennial via online exhibits, social media, and lesson plans. You are invited to join in the celebration!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>National Archives Museum<\/strong>\u00a0in Washington, DC, created\u00a0<a title=\"https:\/\/www.archives.gov\/press\/press-kits\/rightfully-hers\" href=\"https:\/\/www.archives.gov\/press\/press-kits\/rightfully-hers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.archives.gov\/press\/press-kits\/rightfully-hers&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1598635189241000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEzad63-Mf0BQ_kWsRXzhOGVcuDpg\"><em>Rightfully Hers: American Women and the Vote<\/em><\/a>, a 3,000-square-foot exhibit that draws from more than 90 documents, photographs, and artifacts in its collection &#8211; including the original Nineteenth Amendment, which will be on limited display.\u00a0<a title=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NKJnPWOQeA4&amp;feature=emb_title\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NKJnPWOQeA4&amp;feature=emb_title\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v%3DNKJnPWOQeA4%26feature%3Demb_title&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1598635189241000&amp;usg=AFQjCNG9jKxPhwoBMS1QJJv68-yUpPj4zw\">Check out the virtual exhibit\u00a0<\/a>led by archivist and curator Corinne Potter.
