Ames Library has just signed up for a new database! The\u00a0Kanopy streaming video database<\/a>\u00a0is available for use in classrooms and wherever else you need it.<\/p>\n

\"KANOPY<\/a>Here\u2019s your chance to watch entire films or preview many interesting titles!\u00a0 Kanopy offers a broad selection of over 12,000 films and documentaries, featuring such producers as Media Education Foundation, Criterion Collection, PBS, California Newsreel, HBO, Kino Lorber, and more.<\/p>\n

Search Tips<\/p>\n

  1. To look for an exact title or phrase, put your search terms in quotation marks (e.g. “Killing Us Softly”).<\/li>\n
  2. Include “AND” between search terms to view results that must contain both words (not just either word).<\/li>\n
  3. Having searched for keywords, use the filters on the left side of the search results page to narrow your search (by category, producer, year of production, etc)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
