Here was someone who didn\u2019t\u00a0<em>have<\/em>\u00a0to review or consider his contemporaries or predecessors, and yet industriously, prolifically did. What generosity.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Young weighed in with &#8220;Martin Amis&#8217;s collection The War Against Clich\u00e9. His flow is insane,&#8221; Jacobs said, &#8220;Wait, I meant to say that!
