A blogger who identifies himself only as Docnad<\/strong> on his blog, Attempted Bloggery<\/a>, has published an Updike-inspired caption to a Benjamin Schwartz<\/strong> cartoon\u2014his entry in the March\/April 2018 Moment<\/em><\/strong> Cartoon Caption Contest. As he writes, “Moment<\/em> is a magazine of Jewish news and culture.”<\/p>\n

\n“How come Old MacDonald never wanted borscht?”<\/i>
\n“You mean you really don’t care that it’s rabbit season?”<\/i>
\n\u201cRabbi Angstrom? Rabbit Angstrom here. I\u2019m afraid neither
\none of us lives up to John Updike\u2019s conception.\u201d
\n“Dig, man, dig! Save a hand puppeteer!”
