Rabbit Angstrom here. I\u2019m afraid neither<br \/>\none of us lives up to John Updike\u2019s conception.\u201d<br \/>\n&#8220;Dig, man, dig! Save a hand puppeteer!&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8220;We&#8217;ve had seven litters\u2014what we call mitzvahs!&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8220;Here&#8217;s my impression of Bugs Bunny reading\u00a0<u>Rabbit, Run<\/u>: &#8216;Eh&#8230; What&#8217;s Updike?'&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8220;How much might it be worth to you if no one were to<br \/>\ndisturb your crops through, say, Sukkot.&#8221;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>(Note from the blogger:\u00a0 &#8220;Pigs and rabbits are never kosher. Borscht is made from beets. Harry &#8220;Rabbit&#8221; Angstrom is the protagonist of John Updike&#8217;s four Rabbit novels. His appearance in two of my submitted captions was the result of a suggestion\u2014a challenge really\u2014by fellow caption contestant Gerald Lebowitz. A mitzvah is literally a commandment, but in common usage it&#8217;s a good deed to perform.
