The conference celebrates the 50th anniversary of\u00a0<em>Couples<\/em> and Updike abroad and in translation. All are welcome to participate. Society members include not just professors, but teachers, members of the clergy, college presidents, writers, editors, librarians, lawyers, entrepreneurs, Updike family and friends, and the just plain lovers of books that Updike so appreciated.
