There is big news in the IWU phys10-spalding-250ics department! Professor of Physics Gabriel C. Spalding will be the recipient of the Jonathan Reichert and Barbara Wolff-Reichert Award for Excellence in Advanced Laboratory Instruction from the American Physical Society (APS). Dr. Spalding is receiving the award in recognition of his work to increase laboratory instruction for undergraduates across the nation.

The APS, whose membership consists of more than 50,000 physicists from around the world, founded the award to honor high achievement in teaching, sustaining and enhancing an advanced undergraduate lab course or courses.  The award will be formally presented to Dr. Spalding in March.
