Sean has had a 17 year career with the State Department and will join us virtually from his current post in Slovenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you are interested in a career in international relations or related fields, careers with the State Department, or just hearing about the interesting career path of one of our successful Titan alums, join us for this program!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some information about our presenter…<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sean Hantak graduated from IWU in 1998 with a double major in International Studies and Spanish, and a minor in Economics. He studied abroad in Madrid, Spain his Junior year abroad. Sean Hantak is a career Foreign Service Officer with the Department of State. He is currently serving as the Management Officer for the U.S. Embassy in Ljubljana. Mr. Hantak is originally from Chicago, IL, having entered the U.S. Diplomatic Corps via the private sector in 2005. Prior to his current tour in Slovenia, he served in Sarajevo in the U.S. Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Some of his prior overseas assignments include Sofia, Bulgaria; S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil; Tunis and Mexico City. Mr. Hantak has served as a Management, Financial, Human Resources, Refugee Program and Economic Officer throughout his assignments with the Department of State. His next assignment will take him to Baghdad, Iraq, where he will serve as the Director of the Diplomatic Support Center.
