This history project was my final essay for my Modern Brazil History 360 course in the Fall of 2020. I liked writing this essay as I let me look in depth at the early history of the military in Brazilian life and politics and the first years of the Military Dictatorship, which as still ongoing when Alfred Stephan wrote his book The Military in Politics: Changing Politics in Brazil, which was a very interesting look at this subject when I had more information on it as it collapsed in 1985.
