June 12 is Independence Day here in the Philippines. It is celebrated every year to celebrate the Philippines independence from Spain in 1898. So there was no work on this day due to it being a National holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n

Me and Chrishana started our day off with breakfast at the pancake house again<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

Then we decided to visit the Venice Grand Canal Mall. It was very pretty and there were many places to take pictures. There were lots of people in costumes. There were boxes out so you could pay them after taking pictures with them. We explored the mall a bit then fought a movie theater and decided to watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. It was so so good. 10\/10 recommend. Then we went to eat and went back to the apartment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stated the day with doing lots of reading for one of my internship task. I was reading up on how to read food labels, proper food storage, food cleanliness, and food planning.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

At lunch I tried a turon for the first time and I think it\u2019s my new favorite snack!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

After eating lunch we went to the bazaar which is a marketplace. This was in celebration of DOST 65th anniversary.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

Lastly we finished our day with some fresh prawn dumpling noodles in soup and fried fresh prawn dumpling<\/strong>s from North Park Noodles. It was pretty good.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Today all of the FNRI interns went an orientation for the 2023 national nutrition survey. I couldn\u2019t understand much of what was being said because it was in Tagalog but I was able to read some of the slides from the slideshow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are pictures I took when the office was evacuated because there was a earthquake nearby. We didn\u2019t feel anything but we were evacuated just in case to keep us all safe. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n

Had a Friday cool down at the movies after our internship to see Elemental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Me and Chrishana went to the SM Aura Premier Mall. One of my advisors from my internship Ms.Lhea told us that this mall is one of the most aesthetically pleasing and I 100% agree with her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
