Got up at 5:00 and was biking at<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.iwu.edu\/factrack\/files\/2004\/05\/454632727_10100910570147337_233868239682269122_n.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-8291 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.iwu.edu\/factrack\/files\/2004\/05\/454632727_10100910570147337_233868239682269122_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>5:30 with some students.\u00a0 Went to Tiananmen Square (was there yesterday at 5 am for the flag raising) then went to a park that overlooks the Forbidden City.\u00a0 Always wanted to bike here.\u00a0 Was glad I was off the<br \/>\nstreet at 8:30.\u00a0 We went to the Summer Palace, then came back to the hotel.\u00a0 After lunch, one of my students and I went to the old shopping<br \/>\narea and spent about an hour sampling tea and wandering around. Then we<br \/>\nwent out for dinner to a Xinjiang restaurant, where the winner of a<br \/>\ncontest I lost (happily!) got to dance with a belly dancer and a snake.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Had the most wonderful day in Beijing.
