I had even earned a title as an International representative of the W.D. Boyce Council.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2456\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2456\" style=\"width: 125px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.iwu.edu\/factrack\/files\/2003\/01\/IMG00579-rotated.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2456 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.iwu.edu\/factrack\/files\/2003\/01\/IMG00579-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"187\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2456\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The lovely apsaras<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.iwu.edu\/factrack\/files\/2003\/01\/IMG00575-rotated.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2458 \" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.iwu.edu\/factrack\/files\/2003\/01\/IMG00575-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"141\" height=\"211\" \/><\/a> At the same time, I had been thinking about a way to return to Angkor Wat (and Phnom Penh) in Cambodia.\u00a0 Carolyn was willing to go, since I had returned safely in 2001. I would miss minimum time at IWU.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s go.<\/p>\n<p>A day at the Jamboree let us wander and see Scouts from all over.\u00a0 Including Dr. John Inman, whom we knew from Canyon Camp. He was an active Scouter in a venture crew and national and international Scouting.<\/p>\n<p>The real adventure began when we went first to Phnom Penh.\u00a0 Poor devastated Cambodia still had some pockets of <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.iwu.edu\/factrack\/files\/2003\/01\/angor8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2478\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.iwu.edu\/factrack\/files\/2003\/01\/angor8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"209\" height=\"157\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.iwu.edu\/factrack\/files\/2003\/01\/angor24-rotated.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-2471 \" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.iwu.edu\/factrack\/files\/2003\/01\/angor24-125x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"153\" height=\"184\" \/><\/a>French grandeur.\u00a0 The Raffles currently owns the old colonial hotels.\u00a0 We did see the museum where, increasingly, the treasures of Angkor were being housed, and duplicates replaced them in situ.\u00a0 The market for stolen art dictated some security if possible.
