Great time–Carolyn got to spend part of the day touring, and a lot of
the rest, resting. I got to wander aimlessly while she was resting–or
not so aimlessly. In Budapest, for example, I hadn’t been to any of the
museums in old Buda, so when the tour went back to the boat, I visited
five, assisted, I suspect, by the fact that I can’t read Hungarian (who
can?).
Boat food was much too plentiful; we skipped some meals (once for me was
when I bicycled through Wurzburg’s historical walking trail). I did
like the smoked beer, which reminded me of burned beef stew (and tasted
similar!).
