Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Jorie Graham arrives tomorrow for a much-anticipated visit to Illinois Wesleyan. Many faculty and students have attended sessions on “How to Read a Jorie Graham Poem,” and so the Q&A session scheduled for tomorrow, February 22, at 4 p.m. in the Hansen Student Center should be a lively one. English professor Mike Theune will moderate, with questions also coming from the audience. The event is free and open to the public.
Graham, whose many honors include a MacArthur Fellowship and whose most recent book is Sea Change (2008), is the Boylston Professor of Rhetoric and Oratory at Harvard University. Her main presentation will be at the Founder’s Day Convocation, 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 23, in Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall. That event is also free and open to the public.
