Amanda received the 2008-2009 Oscar Broneer Traveling Fellowship for study at the American Academy in Rome, although her love of Rome began during her studies at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in 1998.  In May Term 2010, she led students from IWU to Rome, Pompeii, and Paestum in her course entitled: The Ancient Roman City: Art, Architecture, and Urban Planning.  Amanda also spent a year in Greece in 2005-2006 as the Wheeler Fellow at the American School of Classical Studies in Athens.
