Dr. Brock Thornton DNP, CRNA ’18 obtained his Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia degree in May 2024 from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and now practices in central Illinois. He and his wife, Baylee, welcomed their second boy, Camden Lee Thornton, on August 13, 2025. Congrats, Brock!
Brock Taylor ’18 recently completed a pediatrics residency at the Baylor College of Medicine (Texas Children’s Hospital) in Houston, TX. He will soon begin working at Children’s Clinic in Newport News, VA, as a general pediatrician. Congratulations, Brock!
Taylor Williams ’18 will be presented with the Young Lawyer of the Year 2025 Award by the McLean County Bar Association at the association’s Annual Meeting on June 26th.
A 2020 graduate of the Southern Illinois University School of Law, Williams currently works as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Civil Division of the McLean County State’s Attorney’s Office. In addition to this role, she serves on the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Committee, the Underwood Committee on Professionalism, and as the Scholarship Committee Chair for the McLean County Bar Association.
A member of the IWU Alumni Association Board of Directors, Williams is an active alum and currently serves as Chair of the Council for IWU Women. During her time at IWU, she was involved as the President of Circle K International, Alpha Phi Omega Vice President of Community Service, Co-President of Pi Sigma Alpha, Public Relations Coordinator of NAMI, and as a Titan Orientation Leader.
