{"id":142,"date":"2014-05-13T11:37:31","date_gmt":"2014-05-13T16:37:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.iwu.edu\/2014classnews\/?p=142"},"modified":"2015-05-14T15:22:23","modified_gmt":"2015-05-14T20:22:23","slug":"congratulations-class-of-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.iwu.edu\/2014classnews\/2014\/05\/13\/congratulations-class-of-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Congratulations, class of 2014!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iwu.edu\/news\/2014\/05-commencement-recap.html\">Illinois Wesleyan University celebrated the Class of 2014<\/a>, one of the institution\u2019s largest graduating classes, during the 164th <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iwu.edu\/commencement\/\">Commencement cer<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iwu.edu\/commencement\/\">emonies<\/a> on May 4.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Alumnus\u00a0speaker Deanna Jent &#8217;84 told graduates to &#8220;Boldly write your story, but when another story starts to write you, surrender to that new narrative.&#8221; Class of 2014 graduates and their loved ones shared their excitement and well wishes on social media at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rebelmouse.com\/IL_Wesleyan\/Class-of-2014\/\">#IWU2014<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You can view galleries of the ceremonies<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iwu.edu\/photos\/2014-commencement.html\"> here<\/a>. The list of 503 candidates for graduation can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iwu.edu\/news\/2014\/05-2014-graduates.html\">here<\/a>. Three of those graduates, Jennifer Veitengruber, John Laughlin, and Jacklyn Morris, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pantagraph.com\/news\/local\/education\/together-from-kindergarten-to-iwu-graduation\/article_fd75052d-6c36-58bc-bfa8-51a20b2182df.html\">attended school together (mostly) since the first day of Kindergarten<\/a>\u00a0and were featured in the Pantagraph.
