MacArthur Foundation, with no strings attached, as an investment in the person\u2019s originality, insight and potential.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366\"> Salgado gave our Commencement address in 2013 and received an honorary doctor of humane letters degree during the ceremony. He joins alumna\u00a0<a style=\"color: #993366\" href=\"http:\/\/www.titanpride.org\/redirect.aspx?linkID=18038&amp;eid=45140\" target=\"_blank\">Dawn Upshaw<\/a>, Class of 1982, who was named a MacArthur Fellow in 2007.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366\"> It&#8217;s a great day to be a Titan!<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366\"><strong>As a member of the Finance staff at <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation<\/span>, I was very excited to learn Joan Salgado won the Genius Grant!
