{"id":861,"date":"2019-01-15T18:24:02","date_gmt":"2019-01-15T18:24:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.iwu.edu\/2009classnews\/?p=861"},"modified":"2019-01-18T18:08:20","modified_gmt":"2019-01-18T18:08:20","slug":"jessica-pearce-09","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.iwu.edu\/2009classnews\/2019\/01\/15\/jessica-pearce-09\/","title":{"rendered":"Jessica Pearce &#8217;09"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Jessica Pearce &#8217;09 has received the Doctor of Musical Art Degree in Horn Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana\/Champaign this past December. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During her career, Dr.\u00a0Pearce\u00a0has been the principal horn of the Chicago\u00a0Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra, Assistant Principal of the Illinois Symphony\u00a0Orchestra and guest principal of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra. She has\u00a0also appeared with regional symphonies in Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and\u00a0Iowa.\u00a0 Before working on her doctorate, she was the horn instructor at the\u00a0Metropolis School of the Performing Arts in Arlington Heights and at Lake\u00a0Zurich School District #95.\u00a0 She is currently adjunct instructor of French\u00a0horn at both Eastern Illinois University in Charleston and at Illinois\u00a0Wesleyan University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">Congratulations, Jessica! <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jessica Pearce &#8217;09 has received the Doctor of Musical Art Degree in Horn Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana\/Champaign this past December.
