She will join the 35th Cohort of Scholars out of the Chicago site. She has successfully run her business, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fivegrainevents.com\/\">Five Grain Events<\/a>, since 2010. Five Grain focuses on planning and executing both social and corporate events as well as non-profit fundraisers throughout the Chicagoland area. Joan lives in Chicago with her husband Patrick (&#8217;06) and four children.
