  • “Club Tommy” Saturday, 6-9pm (Cost: $20) – Young Main Lounge in the Memorial Center

Benjamin Nau ’03

Naper Settlement, an outdoor history museum, is pleased to announce that Benjamin Nau ’03, an experienced professional in marketing and graphic design, has been named the museum’s new Director of Marketing.

In his new role, Nau will be responsible for developing and executing a marketing and communications strategy. He will help build, manage and integrate the organization’s brand in all aspects of marketing communications, including digital, print, social media and will raise the overall awareness of the organization.

“I am excited to help increase the digital footprint of Naper Settlement and take advantage of technology to help create new experiences,” said Nau. “My aim is to support the museum in its goal to serve the community by creating excellent marketing that increases awareness.”

Nau has two sons, ages 6 and 9, with his wife, Jennifer. In his free-time, Nau enjoys gardening, coaching his sons’ baseball teams and competing in triathlons, where he’s an Ironman finisher.

Sarah (Slater-Sturtevant) Blabolil ’03 and Kory Blumer ’03

Sarah (Slater-Sturtevant) Blabolil and Kory Blumer both of ’03 were both promoted to Partner at Ernst & Young LLP. Sarah is a member of the firm’s assurance practice, focusing on professional services, consumer products, and industrial products clients and Kory is a member of the firm’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, and focuses on Health sector clients.

Cara Spitzner ’03

A 2003 graduate of the IWU B.A. Elementary Education program, Cara Spitzner, recently won the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching for her work in the 4th grade at Ogden Avenue School in LaGrange, Illinois. Here is the article:
