Trissa Babrowski ’98 is a vascular surgeon at the University of Chicago Medicine. Last year, they had around 200 amputation procedures, of which one can cost up to $80,000. The U of C has a plan to reduce the amount of amputations by one half, however Dr. Trissa Babrowski says, “That goal won’t be met immediately.\u201d The plan is to use preventative strategies to reduce the number of amputations.<\/p>\n
