Shindel, MD is the editor of\u00a0<i>Sexual Medicine,\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0an official publication of the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM), which serves the field as the peer-reviewed, open access journal for rapid dissemination of multidisciplinary clinical and basic research in all areas of global sexual medicine.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Shindel received his bachelor\u2019s degree in biology from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois, USA. He went on to medical school at Washington University Medical School in Saint Louis and stayed on at Washington University to complete his residency in urology. In 2007, he started a three year fellowship in andrology at the University of California, San Francisco under the auspices of Tom Lue, Ira Sharlip, and Tom Walsh.
