Homecoming is October 17-19. Class years ending in 4 and 9 are reunion years. Our theme this year is Off the Charts. We are focusing on the 150th Anniversary of the School of Music, with many music themed events. Join us on Friday night for the Green Carpet Gala Concert & Reception at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts. On Saturday morning, the Titan Pep Band Alumni Reunion will take place on the Quad while you enjoy the free Pancake/Sausage Breakfast. Saturday night, join us in the Young Main Lounge for Club Tommy. Check the brochure or www.titanpride.org for more details. Please register soon!

I look forward to seeing you at Homecoming or another alumni event very soon.

You Did It!

More than 5,000 alumni showed their support by making a gift to IWU in fiscal year 2014!

And for the second year straight, Illinois Wesleyan alumni have grown our alumni giving percentage. We are now at 23%!

THANK YOU for doing your part to keep IWU strong.

47 Alumni Needed

IWU’s fiscal year ends TODAY – July 31 – Thank you if you’ve already made your annual gift!

Now help us find the 47 additional alumni donors we need to reach our participation goal by today. Organizations view alumni participation as the metric that measures alumni satisfaction. It affects IWU’s ranking, bond rating, and ability to earn grants, so make your gift today at iwu.edu/give to keep IWU strong!  Every donor counts!

Thank You!

Me & others at All in for Wesleyan `14 (back row, left)

Hello fellow 1998 Titans. I already posted the fiscal year end reminder to give that our office sent out. We’re now 155 donors away from our participation goal this year. I just wanted to write a quick note to thank all of the members of the Class of 1998 that have already given a gift this fiscal year or volunteered for the university in some capacity. As someone who works in the Advancement Office, I see the results that those gifts and time make on our students and on our campus. I’ve been here for almost seven years, longer now than the time I spent at Wesleyan as a student. In that time, we’ve created scholarships, professorships, research programs, built new buildings and remodeled older ones to adapt to changing times. I’ve gone to graduations as student workers in our office move on to their own careers and futures and welcomed new students into the fold. I’ve watched some of my favorite professors retire and have found new friends among faculty and staff alike.

The longer I stay, the prouder I am to be a Titan. I feel incredibly fortunate to be here, helping in my own small way to provide opportunities for current and future Titans to have the same (and better!) experiences that shaped my life. As the Researcher here, I’m constantly amazed by the variety of professions and successes our alumni have achieved. My charge is to keep the green fires burning and helping IWU continue to produce Titans we can all be proud of.

If you haven’t given and can help in any way, please please do so. There’s a link to give below, as well as on the right sidebar. You can also call the Advancement Office at 1-800-689-9743. You can ask for me and I’ll be happy to talk to you and take your info.

With gratitude,

Jack Baker `98

The Illinois Wesleyan fiscal year is ending quickly on July 31. Have you renewed your support yet this year? *

It’s not too late to be added to the list!

We still need 163 alumni to step forward before July 31 to increase alumni participation 1% over last year.

*Check by visiting http://www.iwu.edu/annualreport/.
