Corey Schieler \u201897, a director of venture capital investments at State Farm, was named the Make-A-Wish Illinois Volunteer of the Year for 2021. He previously received Make-A-Wish Illinois\u2019 Exceptional Creativity Award, for \u201cbringing exceptional creativity to boost wish children’s spirits,\u201d in April 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corey has been a wish granter since 2011 and has helped grant over 30 wishes for kids fighting critical illness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has received many accolades for his work, including a story on WGLT<\/a>, and State Farm, Corey’s employer, created a video about his work with Make-A-Wish:<\/a> Not 3 Wishes, 30 and Counting!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
