Chris Fusco ’94, managing editor and a former award-winning investigative reporter for the\u00a0Chicago Sun-Times,\u00a0was promoted to editor-in-chief, the newspaper\u2019s parent company announced Monday.<\/p>\n

The veteran Chicago journalist had been serving as interim editor-in-chief since August, when Jim Kirk\u00a0resigned\u00a0as publisher and editor-in-chief to join Chicago Tribune parent company tronc.<\/p>\n

Fusco joined the Sun-Times in 2000, after working as a reporter for the Daily Herald and the Northwest Herald. At the Sun-Times, he won awards for his coverage of former Governor Rod Blagojevich and his investigation with Tim Novak and Carol Marin into the killing of David Koschman by a nephew of former Mayor Richard M. Daley.<\/p>\n
