It\u2019s the latest venture from Chicago-based\u00a0Bottleneck Management, owned and operated by three former Illinois Wesleyan students, Titan football players and fraternity brothers: Chris Bisaillon \u201993, Jason Akemann \u201996 and Nate Hilding \u201996. \u00a0Howells &amp; Hood takes its name from the the Tribune Tower\u2019s history \u2013 paying homage to the building\u2019s original architects, John Howells and Raymond Hood. \u00a0The restaurant officially opened on March 14th, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Howells &amp; Hood\u2019s Executive Chef Scott Walton and Bottleneck\u2019s Corporate Executive Chef Paul Katz have collaborated on a menu that\u00a0offers\u00a0globally-inspired cuisine with locally-sourced product, capitalizing on Walton\u2019s reputation as one of Chicago\u2019s foremost authorities on fresh and sustainable cuisine.<\/p>\n<p>This marks the sixth location for Bottleneck Management, following other bars and restaurants that they\u2019ve opened throughout the city including Trace, The Boundary Tavern, Sweetwater Tavern and Grille, South Branch Tavern and Grille, and, most recently, Old Town Pour House. \u00a0For more information about Howells &amp; Hood, visit their website at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/howellsandhood.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">HowellsAndHood.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new restaurant at the Tribune Tower called\u00a0Howells &amp; Hood\u00a0just opened on Chicago\u2019s busy and famed Magnificent Mile.
