We all learned yesterday (April 7, 2015) about the plane crash east of the Central Illinois Regional Airport and the tragic death of all seven passengers who were returning from the NCAA Men\u2019s Basketball Tournament in Indianapolis.\u00a0\u00a0 As more information has become available, we have been informed that one of the passengers was Jason Jones, a 1991 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan.<\/p>\n
Jason was a senior vice president in the Bloomington offices of Wells Fargo Advisors.\u00a0 A native of Lincoln, Illinois he graduated from IWU with a degree in business administration, played on our men\u2019s basketball and baseball teams, and was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.\u00a0 Jason was an enthusiastic and loyal alumnus of the University.<\/p>\n
I know you will want to join me in extending our deepest sympathies to Jason\u2019s wife, Lyndsey, and their two children, Jack and Kate, as well as to all the families who lost loved ones in this terrible accident.\u00a0 This is a very sad time for the University and our community.<\/p>\n
