Illinois State Police following a 31 year career in law enforcement.\u00a0 He\u00a0\u00a0
served in patrol, investigative, and covert operations assignments while\u00a0\u00a0
earning three department service ribbons.\u00a0 A bagpiper with the State Police\u00a0\u00a0
Pipes and Drums, he performed solo before three Illinois Governors\u00a0\u00a0
(Thompson, Quinn, Rauner) and twice on the floor of the Illinois House of\u00a0\u00a0
Representatives.\u00a0 In 2012 he performed with the IWU Wind Ensemble at the\u00a0\u00a0
Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts in Michael Schelle\u2019s \u201cThe End of\u00a0\u00a0
the World.\u201d\u00a0 Captain Riesenberg concluded his career as the Commanding\u00a0\u00a0
Officer of District 6 State Police in Pontiac and District 8 State Police\u00a0\u00a0
in Peoria.\u00a0 His daughter, Kelsey Riesenberg (National Honor Society,\u00a0\u00a0
Bloomington HS) will attend IWU this fall as part of the Class of 2023.\u00a0 He\u00a0\u00a0
resides in Bloomington with his wife, Jill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
