Dirk Behrends ’87\u00a0has been promoted\u00a0to vice\u00a0president of association\u00a0enterprise\u00a0solutions at Abila.\u00a0He has nearly 30 years\u2019 experience\u00a0in the association sector,\u00a0spending his first 15 years\u00a0working for some of the most\u00a0influential professional societies\u00a0in the U.S., most notably\u00a0as the assistant director of the\u00a0Young Lawyers Division of the\u00a0American Bar Association. He\u00a0joined Abila (formerly Avectra)\u00a0in April of 2000 and has\u00a0been instrumental in helping\u00a0associations enhance member\u00a0value and engagement. Behrends\u00a0is a member of Association\u00a0Forum and the American\u00a0Society of Association Executives\u00a0and currently serves on\u00a0the Illinois Wesleyan University\u00a0Alumni Association Board of Directors.<\/p>\n
