Renee (Weber) Donaldson ’89

Renee ’89 was promoted to Vice President of Operations, IL Behavioral Health, for the Behavioral Health Service Line for Advocate Aurora Health in 2020. She focuses on strategic initiatives for both inpatient and outpatient growth as well as development and expansion of virtual platforms for patient care delivery.

Andrew Porter ’89

In October 2020, Andrew ’89 was inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. Fellowship in the College is extended to those experienced trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility, and collegiality. He is a partner at the law firm of Salvatore, Prescott, Porter & Porter, where he focuses on white collar criminal defense work, complex commercial litigation, and high stakes employment disputes.

Renee McGinnis ’84

Renee McGinnis ’84 has three paintings included in an exhibit, Ephemera: The Power of Impermanence, at The Art Center Highland Park, May 7 through June 12, 2021. Renee’s oil paintings USS Caliente, Battersea Power Liner and USS Lilly were included in the gallery at the suburban Chicago nonprofit arts organization. The gallery coincided with the Center’s annual benefit on May 8, 2021, and included an artist reception on May 21, 2021.

Sandra Steingraber ’81

Internationally renowned Environmental Scientist, Central Illinois native, and Illinois Wesleyan University Alumna Dr. Sandra Steingraber ’81 “returns” to Bloomington-Normal in this online program on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. as part of the Ecology Action Center’s 50th Anniversary.

This event is free and open to the public but advanced registration is required. A Zoom webinar link will be shared prior to the event to all registered individuals; please make sure you have Zoom installed on your preferred device. Following Dr. Steingraber’s presentation, a brief question and answer session will be held.

Lora Weliky ’81

Lora Weliky died Sept. 28, 2020, in Kansas City. She was 60. Lora earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Illinois Wesleyan. She was active in community theater and particularly enjoyed her role as Mother Superior in a production of Nunsense. She was also passionate about cooking and game shows. She is survived by her son, three siblings, and many extended family members and friends.

Jennifer (Scott) Seeling ’89

Congratulations to Jennifer (Scott) Seeling ’89 who had this news to share:

As Las Vegas shows come back after the COVID-19 shut-down, I am pleased to announce my promotion from Sales Director to GM for Legends in Concert Las Vegas the longest running show of the Las Vegas Strip. I will also serve as interim Production Manager as we bring our show back to the Legends in Concert Theatre located inside the iconic Tropicana Hotel and Casino.
