I started painting about one year ago and it’s turned into a hobby/business I call Colorful Creations. My mediums of choice are gouache, gel pens and ink. One of my paintings, entitled “New Life After the Fire” is hanging with the Art Circle’s exhibit in the Community Cancer Center in Normal, IL until the beginning of April 2016. Tim Black ’84 presented his paper “Hamburger Wars: McDonalds System v Sandy’s Inc.” at the 17th Annual Conference on Illinois History in Springfield last fall. This is the second time Mr. Black has presented a paper at the conference. In 2013, he presented his work entitled, “Russell Johnson: The man who took on the Ryans…and Won.”
