  • “Club Tommy” Saturday, 6-9pm (Cost: $20) – Young Main Lounge in the Memorial Center

Class of 1987 30th Reunion

Dear Class of 1987,

Homecoming and our 30th Milestone Reunion Celebration are quickly approaching, we hope you make plans to return to campus and celebrate. Below are a few reunion updates we want to make sure you are aware of. Keep in mind future details and updates will continue to come as developed.

Carl Teichman ’80

Carl Teichman, a 1980 alumnus and director of government and community relations at Illinois Wesleyan, was named Citizen of the Year by the Town of Normal.

Teichman gets a hug from his wife, Laurel, after he was named Normal’s Citizen of the Year on Thursday evening at Heartland Community College’s Astroth Community Education Center in Normal.
This was also reported by WJBC and WGLT Radio.

Cheryl Reinking ’87

School of Nursing alumna Cheryl Reinking ’87, who is Chief Nursing Officer of El Camino Hospital in Los Gatos, California, discussed the family-centered approach to care that led to the hospital’s designation as a Baby-Friendly Hospital.

Bob Zanotti ’85

GO Riteway Transportation Group has announced the appointment of Bob Zanotti ’85 as its new President. Zanotti will be the first non-company leader since it was founded in 1957. The company is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and today has over 1,300 employees and 1,090 vehicles, operating out of 18 Wisconsin Locations.

Zanotti credits his early management career experiences at Federal Express Corporation with his leadership approach. “Focusing on treating employees with consideration and respect is the best way to deliver outstanding service to customers,” he said. Since leaving FedEx, Zanotti has been President of two privately held local companies in southeast Wisconsin. He is a native of Kenosha, Wisconsin and a United States Arm veteran. He holds a BA from Illinois Wesleyan and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business. Congratulations, Bob!

Renee A. Donaldson ’89

Renee A. Donaldson ’89 lives in El Paso, Ill., with her husband David and son Nathan.  She has worked at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center for 26 years and currently oversees the Behavioral Health Service Line for Advocate’s Central Region. She also leads Advocate’s System Behavioral Health Committee.  Renee participates on multiple McLean County committees and has also served as a board member for the McLean County Recovery Court for the past six years. According to its Facebook page, the court is a Mental Health Specialty Court for high risk/need adult defendants who have been diagnosed with a serious mental illness. Renee is doing some amazing work. Congratulations on all your achievements, Renee!

Desiree Quizon-Colquitt ’89

Desiree Quizon-Colquitt ’89 has joined PCAS America Inc, and is now the Director of Business Development, Custom Synthesis & Pharma Chemicals.  PCAS is headquartered in France and specializes in the development and production of complex molecules for life sciences and innovative technologies. While Desiree travels to Paris and to New York City, where PCAS America Inc. is located, she is able to work remotely from her home here in Normal, IL. as well.
