Joni Williams ’82, Chris Bisaillon ’93, Susan Powalowski ’11, Chad Maxwell ’02, Diana Lopez ’08, and Megan McKeen ’00 talked to current IWU students at the inaugural Career Immersion Excursion in Chicago. These alumni gave advice to IWU students regarding careers in marketing and public relations.

Sam Porritt, ’84, is the founder of a nonprofit organization called Falling Forward Foundation. He began in 2013 and has been operating in three states (Colorado, Missouri and Kansas).
Yesterday, Falling Forward announced their expansion to Illinois.
FYI, Falling Forward has deep roots in Illinois (four Board members as well as our Director of Marketing) and strong ties to Illinois Wesleyan. Mark Ballard, a 1983 IWU alum, is Treasurer of our Board, and Marty Smith, VP for Advancement at IWU, is Vice-Chairman of our Board.

Agribusiness owner Scott Murphy ’80 was appointed to fill a vacancy on the McLean County Board.
Lisa Powell Williams ’88, received her first pastoral call to pastor Union Congregational Church, Moline, IL as a licensed minister this past month.
Lisa continues to work full time, in addition to this part time call, as a librarian.
