Cathy Carswell ’65 helped make the inaugural Career Immersion Excursion possible this year, with 30 alumni and 21 students visiting different employers in Chicago and getting advice about working in marketing or public relations.

Sally Lundeen ’69 is retiring as the Dean of College of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on June 30, 2016. She started working for the college in 1985 as a faculty member, was named interim dean in 1998, and named dean in 2001.

Classmates Ted Lemen ’69, Bill Gillifillan ’69, and John Morris ’69 all shared a passion for trains, and together created the Monticello Railway Museum. The museum had their 50th anniversary on February 16, 2016, and since then has become one of the best museums preserving railroad history among the hundreds located in the United States.
George L. Littlefield, Jr., 73, of Lombard. Devoted husband of Karen (nee Kreft), loving father of Diane (Cole) Littlefield Lanham and Gary (Jessica) Littlefield. Adoring grandpa to Max, Maissy, Lucy and Harper. George will be fondly remembered as a writer, musician, cinephile and man of many and varied interests, none more important than his family and friends. He was a committed member of his church and a frequent social service volunteer.
Bill Roberts ’64, Managing Partner at Hinshaw & Culbertson, has been appointed Commissioner on the Illinois Supreme Court Historic Preservation Commission. Bill concentrates his practice in complex civil and criminal litigation, government relations and gaming law.
Oscar-winning director Tom McCarthy brought in Richard Jenkins ’69 to be the “Voice of God” in this year’s best-picture winning film, Spotlight.
