He married Milly Polovich in 1958 and served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. Before retiring, Louis was a teacher, prinicpal and coach for Gillepsie Unit School District 7. Louis was a member of Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 217, Knights of Columbus, Retired Teachers Association, St. Joseph&#8217;s Church of Benld, and Plavi Dunav Tamburitzans.
