John passed away on August 9, 2019 at age 91. With his wife Erma, who survives, he established the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iwu.edu\/international-studies\/Peace_Fellows_Program.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.iwu.edu\/international-studies\/Peace_Fellows_Program.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1567697894055000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGRitGTbt_fl5-bL-UkJba2JXVjxg\">Peace Fellows Program<\/a> at Illinois Wesleyan.
