To Dr. James Yerkes, about the demise of The Centaurian:
Prexar's actions seem extremely unprofessional and negligent, especially if any cached material was lost. I hope you've sought legal advice, or at least filed a complaint with the appropriate agency.
Best regards,
Ed Allen

Just wanted to say how sad I was to read this. I am a big Updike fan and often checked the site, which was always suitable filled with Updike lore and news to satisfy even the most demanding fan.

Thank you to James Yerkes for maintaining the site for so long. Your work was appreciated, obviously not by the people at Prexar, but by many others.

Hi, Thanks for the blog on the visit.

I am back from my journey and I ended up visiting 150 graves in 90 days. The day at the Updike family grave site was one of the best on the trip.

The map of the trip, fyi, can be reached on the home page of www.deadpoes.org

That's very unfortunate. It was a site I checked often, because, sadly, there just isn't much Updike-related information online. Hopefully this will be that place now.

Thank you so much, Jack and James, for your offers. This week our librarian said that she ordered My Father's Tears and expects it to arrive shortly.

Jack DeBellis writes that he plans on donating Licks of Love, In the Beauty of the Lilies, Rabbit Is Rich and Bech is Back.

I'm going to donate Memories of the Ford Administration. (Apparently Jack has more duplicates than I do!)

June 8--I would be happy to have books sent to me at 319 Brinton Lake Road, Thornton, PA 19373. This will prevent duplication and allow new acquisitions to be posted on the website. As yet, I haven't informed the Librarian of this project because who knows how many books will appear. When my book bag gets full enough, I will make a trip. Also I will gladly reimburse donors for the shipping costs. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
