We had three networking problems this morning; one campus-wide, two local.
The biggest problem was the University lost its connection to the Internet from about 11am to 11:30am. This lost connection was due to a problem Sprint was having with one of their routers.
The Buck Library and Holmes Hall also lost their connections to the campus [...]

IT staff are working with Sungard personnel on installing a replacement server for the University’s main administrative system (Sungard’s Banner software.) This new server has faster processors, faster hard drives, and will run Oracle’s 10G database software behind the scenes.
