Some users on campus have reported trouble logging into their desktop e-mail programs. If your e-mail program (Eudora, Thunderbird, etc) is rejecting your password, please try logging in to the MyIWU portal. Most of the campus had a power outage today (Wednesday, 11/28) starting at about 3:20pm. This was an unplanned outage from the University’s power provider Ameren. The outage lasted about 1 hour.

We have completed the maintenance work on the My.IWU server. Work began at noon and finished ahead of schedule. All services were back on-line by 1pm.

The MyIWU portal and campus e-mail will be down for approximately two hours beginning at NOON on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 25th for system maintenance.
Sungard Higher Ed recommends that we perform this maintenance to address access problems we saw during registration. This work will also address recent problems with the University’s web content management system (LCMS).

I’m pleased to announce that we have increased e-mail quotas on @iwu.edu e-mail accounts to 250Megabytes.
This is a result of our recent e-mail server move.

At approximately 5:15pm on Saturday 11/17, we completed the move of e-mail to the new server. This was approximately 12 hours ahead of schedule. Thanks to IT staffers Pat Riehecky ‘05, and Chris Rutledge, for their successful move of e-mail to the new mail.iwu.edu server.

On Friday, November 16, starting at 5pm, campus e-mail will be unavailable for up to 36 hours. During this time Information Technology staff will move campus e-mail to a new server with additional capacity. Things you should know about this planned outage:

Services on my.IWU were interrupted twice today. The first was caused by a restart at noon and lasted for about 10 minutes. The second service interruptions started at about 3pm today and lasted approximately 40 minutes.
