A device connected in Munsell was a problem, some NetEqualizer setting adjustments helped, switch configuration changes helped… There wasn’t really a single problem, but several that compounded the issue. Network performance is much improved and Chris is looking further into current and future network optimization.

For me, it seems to be entirely caused by our DNS servers, which are taking forever to respond to requests. Switching my computer over to Google public DNS [http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/] seems to make everything work perfectly.
