According to the IWU Communications Office, Teresa Sherman (09) has been awarded a Fullbright grant to teach in Turkey for the 2012-2013 academic year.  ”I was drawn to the program in Turkey,” she says, “because of the singular way it would require me to implement the skills I have acquired as a cross-cultural English teacher, while allowing me to cultivate my career aspirations in the sphere of international education.”  See the full story here.

The IWU Communications Office has announced that Theatre and English double major Melanie Keller (97) was named Best Actress in a Priniciple Role in a Play at the Non-Equity Joseph Jefferson Awards (also known as the Jeff Awards) in Chicago.  See the full story here.
