Do you want to help fight housing discrimination? Or are you looking for opportunities that can expose you to the legal industry? Prairie State Legal Service is looking for passionate volunteers now!

Fair Housing Project Tester: Prairie State Fair Housing Project is looking for testers to help investigate housing discrimination. Following training, testers meet with housing providers and record their interactions in a report. Our staff members then review and compare reports from various testers to determine if housing discrimination took place.

Benefits for volunteers include receiving a stipend and travel reimbursement for the training/practice test and each time you help with a test and learning new skills, including report writing.

Volunteers must Have:
State-issued ID
Authorization to work in the United States
Access to transportation
Access to a computer
Cannot Have:
Prior felony convictions or convictions of crimes involving fraud or perjury
Active real estate license
